This is my first prototype game and I am looking for feedback. I made all of the assets for the game using Asepirite. I am very new to pixel art and game dev so I thought I would make a game showcasing that. I made this in 5 days using Godot 4.3. The only asset I did not make myself is the font. Thanks for trying out My First Game!

I really really love this concept and the execution is also amazing. Good Job!!!

Thank you, I appreciate that! I am hopeful to expand this in the future.

This was quite fun! The platforming feels good and the level is designed well. The one thing that felt a little off sometimes was the jump, some of the more precise jumps had me wrestling with my movement keys a little bit to land in the right spot. Specifically, the horizontal velocity feels pretty fast for short gaps and single-block landings, so I would often jump too far and have to correct my path mid-air.

Thank you for sharing your game!

Thank you for trying my game. I agree with you and I am working on trying to improve the feel of air velocity specifically.

An good first game! I have some comments but it is for sure something to be proud of. The style is lovely and I like the use of colour. You have a lot of foundational stuff down already

  • Transition between levels - it's a little jumpy at the moment
  • Fall deaths, have the camera stop and let the player fall past the camera
  • Fewer Invisible walls! Let me run free!
  • Look at the parallax layer option for background
  • I think an enemy stop halt when it kills you
  • Instead of telling me to jump over a gap, use coins to entice me
  • It looks like you implemented fast fall and jump buffer but I'm not certain about coyote time?

heck yea cool game
